McVities Milk Chocolate Digestives Biscuits 266g is the biscuit Britain buys more of than any other - a wheatmeal digestive with a full layer of milk chocolate on one side.

Product Highlights & Features

The digestive: Created in 1892 by Alexander Grant for McVitie & Price, and still the biggest-selling biscuit in Britain. Wholemeal flour gives it the sandy, slightly savoury crumb that stops the chocolate being sickly.
The chocolate side: The chocolate goes on what McVitie's calls the bottom, which is why the smooth side faces up in the packet - a detail that has caused genuine national argument.
Dunking: The reason the British argue about biscuits. A digestive gives you a few seconds; a Hobnob gives you longer. Either way the chocolate side goes on top, out of the tea.

About McVitie's: McVitie's was founded in 1830 by Robert McVitie on Rose Street in Edinburgh. Its employee Alexander Grant created the digestive biscuit in 1892, and the firm has since produced the Jaffa Cake (1927) and the Hobnob (1985). It is now part of pladis.

An excellent product, I luv ‘em! But not quite five stars - these must have been stored in a warm place and some of the chocolate had softened and stuck a few of the biscuits together. If that happens just pry them apart and enjoy them. They are just as good.

Very pleasant

Very nice with tea. I’m an American, this is a great introduction to UK culture! Although the bloomed chocolate makes it looks moldy, still good with eyes closed.

Taste is great, but....

The cookies are great tasting, but I have to agree with other reviewers, the cookies come all melted/stuck together. You can't separate them without breaking several of them. Sender needs to come up with a better way of packaging/shipping.

So good, just like I bought them in a shop in the UK

I saw a lot of reviews saying the quality is questionable, but the ones I received were just fine and excellent quality. They weren't broken at all until I opened and handled the packets. Even the ones I bought in a shop in the UK crumbled once I opened them, they're quite fragile cookies lol. Perfectly normal, and taste exactly the same as I would have expected. Love these. Of course, they're slightly more pricey than I'd like, but I'm obsessed with them lol.

Don’t order during warm weather

Wherever the product is stored it is obviously too hot. The chocolate melts and fuses the individual biscuits together. I’ll try again to order when winter comes around
