Are the Maltesers I buy from British Food Supplies the same authentic UK version, and how fresh will they be?

Yes, absolutely! At British Food Supplies, we pride ourselves on sourcing genuine UK-made Maltesers, ensuring you get that classic taste you know and love. We work closely with our suppliers to maintain a high stock turnover, meaning your Maltesers will arrive with an excellent Best Before date, typically many months in the future. You can enjoy them with confidence!

I want to send Maltesers as a gift. Can you help with special packaging or ensure they arrive in good condition?

Maltesers make a wonderful gift! While we don't currently offer specialized gift wrapping for individual Maltesers products, we take great care in our packaging to ensure your order arrives safely and in perfect condition, regardless of the destination. For warmer months, we recommend opting for expedited shipping to minimize transit time and maintain freshness. You can also add a personalized gift message during checkout to let the recipient know who sent this delicious treat!

What different types of Maltesers does British Food Supplies offer, and are they suitable for shipping in all weather conditions?

Our Maltesers collection features a variety of your favourites, including the classic Maltesers Fun Size, Maltesers Chocolate Bar, and larger sharing bags – all the authentic UK versions! While Maltesers are generally robust, intense heat can affect the chocolate. We always pack orders securely, but if you live in a particularly hot climate or are ordering during summer, we do advise considering expedited shipping to help them arrive in the best possible state. You can always check the product descriptions for specific details.

Maltesers - Teasers, Pouches and Chocolate Balls

Maltesers are the lightest chocolate in the British aisle: a honeycomb centre so airy it dissolves, under a thin milk chocolate shell. Americans reach for malted milk balls as the comparison, but those are denser and far sweeter.

In stock now: the Maltesers standard chocolate pouch 93g, the 37g bag, and the Teasers bar 100g.

The pouch is the cinema and sofa format. The 37g bag is a single serving. Teasers is the flat bar version with pieces of malted honeycomb set through solid milk chocolate, which is a different experience entirely. Imported by us from the UK and shipped out of our Massachusetts warehouse.

Buy Maltesers Online in the USA
Maltesers turn up occasionally in American import aisles but rarely in the sizes British shoppers expect. They are also routinely confused with malted milk balls, which are a heavier, sweeter sweet with a much denser centre.

Bags, Pouches and the Teasers Bar
The small bag is one serving. The pouch is the sharing size and the one that goes to the cinema. Teasers is not a bag of Maltesers at all: it is a solid milk chocolate bar with pieces of the malted honeycomb set through it. Gift boxes and seasonal shapes come and go through the year.

FAQ

Q1: What is inside a Malteser?
A light, crisp malted honeycomb centre under a thin milk chocolate shell.

Q2: Are Maltesers the same as malted milk balls?
No. The centre is much lighter and more brittle, and the chocolate shell is thinner and less sweet.

Q3: What is a Teasers bar?
A solid milk chocolate bar with pieces of malted honeycomb through it, rather than whole Maltesers in a bag.
