I grew up on HP Sauce in Canada and missed it a great deal when I moved to the US. A1 steak sauce is tasty, but it's no HP! As the bottle says, "it's the original brown sauce." I don't really know what that means, because "brown sauce" isn't a thing to me, but I don't care - it's delicious and reminds me of my childhood. I put it on eggs, toast, steak, chicken, pretty much anything that I want to be savory. My favorite use for it is a ham, egg, & cheese sandwich on a fresh kaiser roll... you will not regret it!

HP is the original and best brown sauce available anywhere. It is British and brilliant. The sauce is richer and tastier that A1, which is really A-rubbish in comparison. It is great for meatloaf as an ingredient or poured over. It is great for steak, bratwurst, burgers and of course, brilliant for Chips, no tomato sauce on what is known to you yanks as French fries! But it!

This product is exactly as advertised. I have had very few brown sauces that were as brown as HP. And I cannot overstate the sauciness of this product. As far as handy packs go, this was about as handy as they come. A good value for money compared to the single bottle. And did I mention flavor? I was asked to. It is rather flavorsome.

I've never been to England, but a Scottish friend turned me on to this. It's pretty good.

I read so many British murder mysteries with references to brown gravy, I had to try it. If you put ketchup on everything you eat, you'll probably like it. It's an ok condiment but taste is personal and it doesn't taste bad. Reminds me of ketchup with Worcestershire and it's brown. I guess if you're raised on it it's great!

Firstly, thanks to Verified and the sellers/distributors that are now bringing great imported products to our US market like HP sauce. I have long wanted to purchase HP sauce and other great UK products, but they were prohibitively expensive here, and very difficult to locate. This sauce not only tastes great, but it is priced very well on Verified for an imported product. This sauce is similar to a combination of Heinz 57 sauce and A-1 sauce, and I find it delicious on battered fish! It's a Great tasting sauce that I can now regularly keep on hand!

I am a Canadian living in the US. In the states we have HP sauce but it's really watery and is JUST NOT RIGHT. I had to pay a lot for shipping as it came from the UK, but I don't care. Real, thick HP sauce like I remember in a square glass bottle. I don't like it when people copy something and cheapen it by making it similar instead of the same. Buy the real HP sauce and you will be much happier.

I don't know what I was really expecting. I watch a lot of British tv. Apparently it's popular there, so I thought I'd try it. It tastes a lot like Heinz 57 but there is something else in the background. I just can't put my finger on it. It's good, but like I said, I don't know what I was expecting.

All of my friends from the U.K. have told me all about this stuff. Now I see, or I should say taste, what all the hub bub is about. There is no comparison. It is good for vegans, which I am not. I first tried it on some bison stake I cooked, and wow! It's not too milled, not too spicy and not too sweet. Dates as one of the ingredients is a nice touch. I will be getting more of this stuff. Don't let the fact that they don't make it in the U.K. anymore dissuade you.

After returning to the USA from a trip to Ireland and Isle of Man I found myself longing for the bland non confrontational taste of the local cuisine that was available "across the pond". I stumbled upon HP whilst searching for another item on Verified and just had to order. this stuff was in every pub and restaurant we went to and I drowned everything in it! Wonderful compliment to any meal! HP adds a kick much in the same way Stephen Hawking might add kick to a karate fight! put HP on any bland food and BAM!! you now have bland food! Very good taste that will most surely nudge your taste buds!

I live in New England and play video games with folks over in the UK and this product is big time with them. I finally ordered a bottle and it is truly an amazing flavor! It's like Worcestershire sauce meets BBQ and now I long for it on pretty much anything pork or beef. My only reason for knockin a star off the review is the price. $8.99 for such a small bottle of something so mass-scale manufactured is a bit pricey in my opinion, but damn is the flavor great!
