Blackcurrant is a flavour British children grow up on and American children almost never meet, largely because blackcurrant growing was restricted in the United States for most of the twentieth century. Ribena is the drink that flavour belongs to.

The squash is a concentrate: a small splash in a glass topped up with water, and one bottle goes a very long way. The 500ml bottle is ready to drink. It is deep purple, sharp and sweet at once, and nothing on an American shelf tastes like it. Imported by us and shipped from Massachusetts.
